When I first started my awakening process some 13 years ago, I researched different religions. I was looking for something, I just didn’t know what. Also, I was going through the existential crisis of “Why am I here? What the eff am I supposed to do? What’s my big soul purpose for existing, anyway?” I checked out Wicca and Buddhism, but neither really clicked for me. At the time, I was involved in a Christian church, but that wasn’t clicking anymore either. I knew there had to be something more out there, that we are more.
During my research, I discovered that all Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccan. I also discovered there is a subgroup of Christian witches! Talk about being blown away by that idea! In my mind at the time, the words “Christian” and “witch” just didn’t jibe, but since then I’ve coached some Christian mystics, and we all have more in common than what you’d think.
In the end, I realized I didn’t conform to any box, so I took what resonated with me and threw out the rest and have lived by that principle since, and I ask you to do the same. If at any time you come across something (even if it’s from me), and it doesn’t resonate with you, then just ignore it and go on to the next thing.
One thing I’ve discovered is that oftentimes when we don’t resonate with something, it’s just not on the same frequency as we are. If it’s something we don’t quite understand yet, then at some point we will rise to that frequency.
If it’s something we used to resonate with but no longer do, then we’ve risen above the frequency of what we were presented with. And sometimes, it’s people, places, or things we no longer resonate with.
It’s not unusual for relationships to fall apart as you grow in awareness and your frequency changes, or places or jobs or things we used to hold dear no longer hold the same meaning as they once did.
